LifeLight Hills Alive Festival

This free summer music festival is held the third weekend in July in Rapid City's Memorial Park. It features many of the best Christian artists over two days. There is a KidsZone with outreach ministry, on-stage shows, bouncy village, and a children's tent.
Several delicious food vendors are on site, as well as merchandise vendors and non-profit booths. Don't miss the Friday night Artist Showcase at Main Street Square in downtown Rapid City. LifeLight Hills Alive brings in 20,000-25,000 people each day.

Kadoka Buffalo Stampede Rodeo

Come join us for the annual Kadoka Buffalo Stampede rodeo held each year in late June. Enjoy the Ranch Rodeo Thursday, June 20th at 7pm. The PRCA/WPRA rodeos will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 21-22 at 7 pm each night. Enjoy the thrill of bareback riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, ladies breakaway roping, team roping, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding. Friday morning at 10:00 am, there is PRCA steer roping.

There is a dance Saturday night! Event admission is $20 at the gate.
There is no admission for kids 12 and under. Held at the Buffalo Stampede Arena on the east side of Kadoka.

If you love fine food, wine and distinctive brews, don’t miss the 8th annual Forks Corks & Kegs: Food, Wine and Beer Festival, April 12 & 13, 2024 in Historic Deadwood. Sample a variety of beer and wine from all across the country, along with your Black Hills favorites as you make your way to various tasting venues throughout Deadwood. Each location will feature their chef’s finest culinary creation paired with the perfect complimentary beverage. Then head to the Grand Tasting, which features dozens of beer & wine varieties, and light hors d’oeuvres. *Must be 21 to participate.* Tickets are limited!

GARDEN GRANGE DISPLAY COMPETITION:
Gardeners everywhere are invited to enter the "Garden Grange Display" competition! Simply select up to 10 of your best, most impressive home-grown produce items (can include vegetables, grains, berries, fruits, flowers, etc - small items may be grouped) and arrange them in your designated 2'x3' (approx.) table display area for judging and public vote. You may sell or keep your items!  Registration form and full competition details coming soon.
HOT PEPPER EATING CONTEST:
Do you have taste buds of steel? Are you considered a champion of spicy foods amongst your family and friends? Test your mettle and enter our Hot Pepper Eating Contest! Sound of Silence Tesla Rally

The Custer Area Chamber of Commerce is again sponsoring the Annual Sound of Silence Tesla Rally, where $5 million in cars make a road trip to Custer, South Dakota. The 2024 event is the tenth rally and still the only one of its kind in the United States. Tesla owners are invited to come explore the beautiful drives the southern Black Hills has to offer. The cars will be on display for viewing and questions on Friday evening.

Annual Black Hills Quilt Show & Sale

The 2024 Black Hills Quilt Show will be held June 6-8 in the Rushmore Hall at The Monument in beautiful downtown Rapid City. This show, sponsored by the Black Hills Quilters Guild, will be open for a preview on Thursday, June 6 from 5:00-8:00 PM, on Friday, June 7 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Admission to the show is $7 per day or $10 for a 3-day pass; children are free.
