Make plans for the 12th annual Monster Ball on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 with a live band and dancing; and the annual Costume Contest with more than $10,000 in cash and prizes for the best costumes on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. Both of these events are FREE, so come in costume or just come to watch – it is quite the sight!

All participants must register prior to judging. Winners are announced at 9:30pm on the stage in the Historic Franklin Hotel. Haunted Tours of the Broken Boot Gold Mine – For ages 12 and olderTake a spooky tour by candlelight, 300 feet under the surface in a 143 year-old, historic mine. These haunted house-style Halloween tours of the Broken Boot Gold Mine are only available on select days in October (TBD). Ages 12 and up; $10 per person; Walk up tickets only.
Trunk or Treat – October 26 – All Ages Welcome
Enjoy family-friendly trick or treating in Deadwood on Saturday, October 26 outdoors at the Days of ’76 Event Complex – Trunk or Treat – All are welcome!Treats from trunks of vehicles will be served from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Deadwood Chamber is looking for individuals and businesses that would like to give out candy at the Days of ’76 Event Complex for Trunk or Treat. Those interested should plan to be at the Event Complex to be parked by 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26. Call the Chamber at (605) 578-1876 to sign up. Any business that is unable to participate but would still like to donate candy to be given away is encouraged to contact the Chamber for pickup/deliver arrangements.
