The Tourism Coalition of South Dakota (TCSD) serves as the statewide advocate for South Dakota’s visitor industry, providing a unified voice on issues impacting tourism at the Legislature. To support this important work, TCSD will once again host a raffle during the 2026 Governor’s Conference on Tourism and has asked the regional associations to assist in collecting raffle items and baskets.
Black Hills & Badlands tourism businesses are invited to participate by donating a basket of goodies, gift certificates, attraction passes, hotel stays, or travel packages. These raffle donations play a key role in helping TCSD raise significant funds each year to support its lobbying and advocacy efforts on behalf of our industry.
Members who wish to assemble their own basket may drop it off at the TCSD table (located across from conference registration) beginning the afternoon of Tuesday, January 20, at the conference. Please be sure all donations are clearly labeled with:
- Business name
- List of contents
- Total value of the donation
The Black Hills & Badlands Tourism Association (BH&B) will also be contributing gift baskets on behalf of the region. Members who would like to add items to BH&B’s baskets may drop them off at the BH&B office by Monday, January 12. For those unable to attend the conference, BH&B can deliver donated items if received by Friday, January 16.
The TCSD raffle consistently generates meaningful financial support for tourism advocacy efforts during the legislative session. Your participation helps ensure South Dakota’s visitor industry continues to have a strong, informed voice at the Capitol.
If you have questions or would like to confirm your donation, please feel free to respond to this email. Thank you for your continued support of TCSD and the tourism industry.
