Start planning now for Rally Rush 2026. Funding opportunities and award applications are coming. Let’s welcome riders and bring the Rumblin’ Community Award to the Black Hills & Badlands.
The countdown is on for the 2026 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and now is the time to begin planning how your community can roll out the red carpet for riders.
Through the Rally Rush initiative, Travel South Dakota will again offer limited funding assistance to regional tourism associations, CVBs, chambers of commerce, economic development corporations/offices, and civic organizations to support creative, community-driven welcome efforts. In 2025, program details were released in April and applications were due at the end of May. While we await 2026 specifics, now is the perfect time to start conversations locally so you’re ready when information becomes available.
Each year during the Rally, our Black Hills & Badlands communities and member businesses proudly roll out the red carpet for riders, offering exceptional service, exciting events, scenic rides, and authentic local experiences that keep guests coming back. Together, let’s build on that momentum in 2026 and bring the Rally Rush Rumblin’ Community Award to a Black Hills & Badlands region.
Community applications for the Rally Rush Rumblin’ Community Award are typically due in mid-September. You can review criteria and application details here.
If your community is considering creating or enhancing an event, you may also wish to explore the TAP Grant program through Travel South Dakota.
BH&B is committed to supporting our communities and members as you plan your Rally Rush efforts, and we’re always happy to talk through ideas. Let’s work together to make Rally Rush 2026 one to remember and continue showcasing the outstanding hospitality that defines the Black Hills & Badlands.
