The application deadline for the Destination Development Program is just around the corner. Applications must be submitted online on or before Friday, August 29.
Designed to strengthen and expand tourism in rural communities across the state, we are very excited to get this initiative up and running next month. The program’s goal is to help local communities take the lead in growing tourism by enhancing what makes each place unique. It encourages innovative ideas, builds local leadership, and supports the development of authentic, high-quality experiences for visitors and residents.
Travel SD hopes to select two South Dakota communities in this pilot year and will notify recipient(s) by September 10. Communities interested in applying are encouraged to visit SDVisit.com.
