The town popularized in HBO’s TV series and film is a real place and many of the characters like Seth Bullock were real people who left a mark that can still be explored today. When miners moved to the Black Hills in 1876, they came to a gulch full of dead trees. The town’s name Deadwood was born that year; living history and limited-wage gaming keeps the town alive today.

Our Heroes and Villains package includes a visit to Mount Moriah where Seth Bullock, Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried; a Ghost Tour at the Bullock Hotel, The Lawman’s Walking Tour where you’ll patrol the town and learn about the brothels and bars and the town’s unique architecture; a ride on our Deadwood Stagecoach; a tour of an authentic gold mine as well as our three living history museums.

Package starts at $235 per person/double occupancy and includes three nights lodging, and entrance to the Trial of Jack McCall, Mt Moriah Cemetery, Bullock Ghost Tour, Lawman Walking Tour, The Broken Boot Gold Mine, The Days of 76 Museum, The Adams Museum and House and a ride on the Deadwood Stage.
