While much of the nature in the Black Hills and Badlands is dormant in the winter, many things thrive under the generous glow of the winter sun. The region glitters and sparkles, bison don their thick, wooly capes and outdoor adventurers experience peaceful isolation in the area's incredible parks and monuments.
