Custer State Park, Crazy Horse & Mount Rushmore
Some things aren't worth missing. These three highlights fall into that category. If you haven't seen a true American Bison before, now is your best chance. We'll pick you up directly from your accommodations in Rapid City, Keystone or Custer and take you to the real Wild West. Custer State Park comprises 71,000 acres of the Black Hills and is full of granite peaks, wildlife, and Adventure.
We'll take our time searching for buffalo, exploring Sylvan Lake, and navigating through tunnels and twisting roads of the Needles Highway. Along the way, you'll have a chance to take pictures and look out over scenic pullouts with panoramic views of Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills National Forest. Once you've taken in all the beauty Custer State Park has to offer we enjoy and included lunch and then venture to two of the most significant man-made monuments of the Black Hills, Crazy Horse & Mount Rushmore.
Carved out of solid granite, each have their own meaning and purpose. Get close to the monument by walking the Presidential Trail. Enjoy a movie going over the concept, timeline and workers behind its creation. This is truly a bucket list item on the American vacation.
Last, but not least is the Crazy Horse Memorial. Long before settlers came through this area, this was the land of the Lakota and Dakota. The land was and still is sacred to them. Crazy Horse Memorial and the indigenous peoples of this land work hard to keep the stories and traditions alive. This Memorial is yet unfinished, and you'll learn about the progression of the monument as well as the family and workers involved in its creation.

Private Paddle Boarding on Lake Pactola, Black Hills
We'll start out day with a private pickup from MyXOAdventures.com at your accommodations in and around Rapid City. Once on our way, we'll ride through the beautiful Black Hills on our way to Pactola Lake, the best paddle boarding lake in the area.
After arrival, your guide will take you out, sharing along the way the history and background of the area. You'll be connected with nature, shown some of the local wildlife and enjoying paddle boarding at your own pace.
During this time, you'll have the added bonus of experiencing "Recreational Therapy". Your trained guide helps connect your with nature and explores ways in which to help heal the soul. This is the perfect setting and activity to have fun, and learn in the process.
Once we're finished with todays activities, you'll be taken for a delicious lunch on the way back to your hotel. This tour takes approximately 5 1/2 hours and is sure to create a memorable experience!

Badlands National Park is one of the most beautiful areas of the Western U.S. Dozens of geological layers, each unique provides a historical record of millions of years. A giant example of deposition and erosion, the Badlands extend as far as the eye can see. American Bison roam this area along with Pronghorn, Bighorn Sheep, Black Footed Ferrets, Prairie Dogs, and more. Bring your camera because there's lots to see!

The Badlands Sunset & Night Sky Adventure
Imagine experiencing two celestial events in one evening. Now imagine those experiences taking place in one of the most beautiful National Parks. We're making that a reality with The Badlands Sunset & Night Sky Adventure! This evening tour begins with a pickup directly from your accommodations in Rapid City.
We'll make our way towards the Badlands to enjoy a beautiful sunset from a picture perfect place. Folding chairs will be provided, along with soft drinks as we watch the sun gently lower over the pinnacles and spires, causing the multicolored layers to light up in wonder.
After the sun sets, we make our way to the Badlands Night Sky area, where we are treated not only by the stars above, but also satellites and the NPS ranger program with telescope viewing. Included in your adventure is transportation, soft drinks, folding chairs and a driver/guide!
