We'll cruise Iron Mountain Road/ US Hwy 16A - Famous for it's "pigtail bridges" and one-lane tunnels that frame the faces of Mount Rushmore. You can't come to the Black Hills without exploring the third "crown jewel" of the Black Hills - Custer State Park. As we wander through the Wildlife Loop, look for buffalo, big horn sheep, white-tail and mule deer, prairies dogs and everyone's favorite, "begging" burrows!

Still in Custer State Park, we'll wind through the National Scenic Byway of Needles Highway. Discover breath-taking beauty around every corner and be amazed at the tall granite croppings aptly named "Cathedral Spires". Wonder at the "Needles Eye" and possible spot rock-climbers! Along this highway we'll make a stop at one of the most photographed spots in the state, Sylvan Lake.

Travel East of Rapid City and visit Wall Drug Store. Wall is the gateway to Badlands National Park. We'll drive the Badlands Loop with many photo opportunites of the stark beauty. Watch for wild buffalo and big horn sheep.

Explore Mount Rushmore in the evening. Wander through the Gutzon Borglum Museum then find a seat in the amphitheater to view the awe-inspiring carving and patriotic lighting of the presidents' faces.
