Rush Mountain Adventure Park

You will find fun on all levels at Rush Mountain Adventure Park. Explore Rushmore Cave on a scenic cave tour and cruise down the mountain on the Rushmore Mountain Coaster. Experience the Soaring Eagle Zipride, shoot’em up at the Gunslinger 7-D Interactive Ride, and find your inner daredevil at the Wingwalker Challenge Course. It's a mountain of family fun!

Keeping Everyone Safe

At Rush Mountain Adventure Park, home of Rushmore Cave, the safety of our guests and staff are a top priority. Updated health & safety measures have been implemented based on guidance from the CDC, national and state tourism organizations, government entities and local & state health authorities.

Guests will find new procedures and reduced capacities at each attraction. Sanitation stations have been installed around the park for staff/guests to be able to disinfect their hands regularly. All high touch surfaces on the rides will be disinfected between each rider. In addition, hard surfaces such as handrails, benches, doorknobs, and ticket counters will all be cleaned regularly.

Staff members will be required to wear masks as recommended by the CDC and all participants on a cave tour will be required to wear a mask. Staff members will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19, will wash their hands at least once per hour, and will be sent home if not feeling well.

Is Anything Closed?

The Wingwalker & Sky Tykes Challenge Courses (the 3 story ropes, balance and agility structure) is closed at this time. We hope to be able to open this attraction later in the summer.

Social Distancing and More

To avoid overcrowding, overall property capacity has been reduced. Once max capacity is reached, there will be a one-in/one-out procedure. Cave tour capacity has been reduced with tour times assigned as guests arrive on the property. We recommend that you arrive early in the day for best availability.

The outdoor attractions at Rush Mountain are built on the side of a hill and are naturally spaced apart with beautiful views of the Black Hills. The tables, chairs, and benches on the outdoor decks are spaced 6 ft apart. Queue lines have been re-adjusted to allow for social distancing.

Enjoying Your Black Hills Vacation in 2020

The safety of our guests and staff have always been a hallmark of Rush Mountain Adventure Park, but never more so than right now. After extensive research, we have implemented new, comprehensive health and safety procedures. We know many people, after months of being cooped up inside, are ready to get out and have some fun! We are excited to offer that opportunity. Family members that arrive at Rush Mountain together can still ride the Mountain Coaster, Zipride and Gunsliner together. They can also experience the wonderful sights of the cave formations together. It's time to make some GOOD memories of 2020! We look forward to seeing you at Rush Mountain!

Looking to the Future

As with every season, we look forward to providing a fun filled experience for all visitors. Rush Mountain is excited to offer a get away for families and friends to build fond memories. We love seeing the smiling faces on kids of all ages. As restrictions are lifted, we look forward to putting on a few special events that are unique and always a favorite. Stay tuned to www.RushMtn.com for updates.
