Autumn is just around the corner (this Friday, to be exact) and we couldn't be more excited! This enchanting time of year is filled with harvest festivals, spectacular foliage, and crisp temperatures—allowing for full days of outdoor activities and fall fun! The best part of autumn in the Black Hills? It's the perfect time for a fall color tour, shopping adventure, round of golf, or a wine and beer excursion! Whatever your style, be sure to slow down and savor the season here in the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota. Looking to catch the fall colors at their peak? Local canyon color expert, Jerry Boyer, estimates the current level of saturation in Spearfish Canyon to be at about 70% with complete saturation occuring somewhere between September 25 and 27. With each passing day, more golds and reds are bursting onto the scene. If you have the opportunity to get out for a drive, this coming week will be the time to do so! In addition to the peak colors, this time of year is filled with all kinds of fall festivals and special events. Here's just a preview:
