We Have Our First #FindYourPark Winner!

By :

With our #FindYourPark National Park Pass Giveaway well underway, the time has come to draw our first winner. Congratulations to Joyce M. of Nebraska!

Devils Tower#FindYourPark campaign! In honor of the National Parks Centennial, we’re giving away six 2016 America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – one for each of the national parks and monuments found here in the Black Hills. Each pass will gain the lucky winner free entry into any national park or monument for an entire year!

To enter, either fill out the form at this link or simply “like” the most recent Find Your Park promotional post on either our Black Hills Facebook or Instagram page.*

Our upcoming drawings will be held on: May 4, July 6, August 25 (the official day the National Park Service turns 100), September 7 and November 2. (You must be 18 to enter and a resident of the United States. No purchase is necessary. The deadline for entering is 11:59 PM MST the day prior to the next scheduled drawing.) The park passes are valid for one year following each drawing.

In addition to our park pass giveaway, it’s a great time to take note of the National Park Service’s (NPS) lineup of free entrance days — 16 days in 2016! Several of the national park areas here in the Black Hills and Badlands region are always free to enter, but these fee-free weekends are especially good times to visit Badlands National Park or Devils Tower National Monument since those two normally charge a gate fee. Mark your calendar for these entrance fee–free dates in 2016:

  • April 16 through 24: National Park Week
  • August 25 through 28: National Park Service Birthday
  • September 24: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

Now get out there and #FindYourPark!

*Fee waiver includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, parking, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
