Protecting 244,000 acres, Badlands National Park is home to bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, porcupines, bobcats, rattlesnakes, swift fox and more. The rugged beauty is nearly indescribable and must be experienced firsthand.  Public viewing of Badlands fossils is available at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center.

Badlands National Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Entrance fees are collected year-round. The park is in the Mountain Time Zone. Interstate 90 (I-90) is located directly north of the park and provides access to the Hwy 240 Badlands Loop Road.
