What is your favorite thing about the Black Hills and Badlands Region?
Some of my favorite childhood memories took place in the Black Hills & Badlands. My grandparents own a cabin outside of Custer, where I spent many holidays with my parents, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. We all squished into the small cabin and enjoyed hiking, visiting attractions, long scenic drives, many laughs and more!

What inspired you to choose a career in tourism and hospitality?
I would say my career in tourism and hospitality chose me!

What influenced you to serve on the BH&B Board of Directors?
I decided to serve as the community representative for Wall after some persuasion by Wall community members. I had only been in my position as Executive Director for a few months before I became a BH&B board member. I am so glad that I became a board member when I did, I have learned so much from the BH&B staff and board that I have been able to bring back to the Wall and Badlands community.

What is new, exciting or upcoming in your business or the tourism industry?
Wall is open for business! Most of our local businesses are open and look forward to welcoming guests!

Wall will celebrate the 113th Annual Wall Celebration July 10-11. With the theme “Straight Outta Quarantine” the Wall Celebration will include a fireworks show, 2 days of PRCA Rodeo, parade, cornhole tournament, live performances by Brandon Jones and Chancey Williams and more!
