Deluxe Cabins
Located in a beautiful forest setting, we offer deluxe, full furnished cabins w/ 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms, kitchen and bath. Wrap around porch with beautiful view of the Black Hills. Sleeps 2-12 people. Our grounds are 100% non-smoking. Three night minimum stay.
Cabin Floorplan
Bring your horses and stay in our cabins. Pipe corrals are available at $10 per horse / per day. Water is provided but you must clean your own pens.
Trail Rides
We offer trail rides starting on Memorial Weekend and going through Labor Day. We are open daily seven days per week. Dinner rides start at 4 p.m. and are two hours and will include the best steak dinner in South Dakota! Hour long rides are $30.00 and two hour rides are $60.00. Reservations are required for the dinner rides. No reservations are required for 1 and 2 hours trail rides.

General Information
1. Spirit Horse Escape is a 100% non-smoking facility. There will be no smoking anywhere on the property. If we see you smoking we will assume you are on fire and take necessary measures.
2. Pet policy: Pets are welcome but must be under direct control at all times and owners are responsible for any damage by their pet. There will be a $5 per day pet cleaning fee added to the room charges. Pets can not be left unattended in the cabins while their owners are away for the day unless in a crate.
3. Cancellation Policy: If you cancel before 30 days of your scheduled arrival you money will be refunded in full (except for non-refundable Bike Week Deposits). If you cancel within 30 days fo your scheduled arrival, you will be refunded 90% of your deposit for the nights we can re-rent.
4. Cabins do not have TV or phone in the rooms. Bring your own TV/VCR if desired. The phone and TV as well as laundry facilities are located in the Wash House.
5. We have fire pits approved by the State Forestry Inspector for your use if there is no "Extreme Fire Danger" posted. Fires are not allowed ANYWHERE but the approved fire pits.
6. After you make a reservation your credit card will be charged and you will receive a conformation and a receipt in the mail. When you get to Custer you can find us 7 miles west on US 16 on the north side of the road. Your keys and instructions will be hanging on the front porch of the wash house just inside the main entrance. Your instructions will include a map showing you where your unit is and where you park.
Spirit Horse Escape Pet Policy
We are pet friendly. We trust you to be responsible for your pet’s actions. All pets must be declared when reservation is made. There is a penalty for not notifying us you have a pet as well as for breaking the rules or damage caused by your pet. Pets are limited to dogs and cats. Absolutely no ferrets, monkeys or any wild animals will be accepted. You can bring your gold fish for free.
1. There is a $5/day/pet cleaning fee.
2. Pets may not be left unattended and must be on a leash when outdoors.
3. Cleaning fee does not cover soiling or any form of damage. There will be additional charges for these.
4. If you do not declare your pet the additional daily fee will be doubled and charged to you.
5. Pets can not be left unattended in the cabins while the owners are away for the day unless in a crate.
If your pet causes any problems for other guest such as barking or biting you will be asked to remove your pet or leave yourself.
