Activities

If touring the cave has increased your desire for even more adventure, you may be ready for some good old-fashioned spelunking. For those who are not afraid to get down and dirty, a second undeveloped cave is waiting for you to explore. With flashlight in hand, this wild cave allows visitors to feel the exhilaration of cave exploration. Named Two Bear hole by Native American hunters who had discovered a pair of hibernating bears, the Sioux came to use this cave as shelter to escape the harsh winter storms.

Nature Trail
If you have energy to burn and wish to stay above ground, then grab your camera, lace up your hiking shoes and get ready set off on our scenic nature trail through historic Rockerville Gulch. There is much to enjoy and explore along this rugged ½ mile loop. Beautiful native wildflowers and plant-life are in abundance throughout the summer season, many of which were once used by the local native population for both medicinal and ceremonial purposes. Sandwiched within these soaring red rock canyon walls exists a thriving natural habitat of birds and animals alike. Critters such as chipmunks, squirrels, rabbit, deer and wild turkeys are frequently spotted trailside, and on special occasions a fortunate few have sighted the more elusive and shy creatures like mountain goats, bobcats and even the awe-inspiring mountain lion staring down from high above along the canyon walls.
