Black Hills Ski Season

The ski season in the Black Hills varies based on weather but typically starts at the beginning of December. Expect chilly winds, fresh snowfall and occasional sub-zero temperatures during the winter months.

The Northern Hills see an average of 150 inches of snow per season and snowmaking systems help establish a solid base on the terrain, providing lots of great opportunities to ride.
