Cave Tours

Jewel Cave National Monument's surface trails & facilities are available free of charge. Fees are charged for cave tours.

 

TICKET SALES:

  • Reservations are recommended as tour tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Online tour tickets are available for advanced purchase.
  • On-site tickets must be purchased at least ten to fifteen minutes before a predetermined tour time.
  • Teachers/educators may call the Visitor Center to learn more about educational programs and academic fee waivers.
  • Call ahead for tour availability or visit Operating Hours & Seasons for current cave tour schedules.

Directions: 

Jewel Cave National Monument is located in the Black Hills National Forest. It is located just off Hwy 16, 13 miles west of Custer, SD, 24 miles east of Newcastle, WY, and about 54 miles from Rapid City, SD.
