Summer is a busy time in the Black Hills and Badlands. It’s when residents and visitors take advantage of the beautiful outdoors. From September thru October the Black Hills come alive with a venue of unique fall colors, festivals and events. The winter season gives us an excuse to savor the radiance and aroma of the fireplace, and to snuggle up with a blanket feels extra-good. Instead of dreading the cold season, we humor it, play it, embrace it and romance it. The Black Hills is home to over 300 miles of snowmobile trails, slopes that are perfect for skiing or snowboarding and lakes that are perfect for ice fishing.
