The prairie town of Murdo lies along I-90 about midway between the Badlands and the Missouri River. Local industries are cattle ranching, wheat farming and tourism. Murdo's "Hospitality Row" has accommodations for 2,000 guests including the services at nine motels, one campground, one supermarket, four service stations, seven restaurants and a medical clinic.  The golf course with new grass greens, swimming pool, city park, tennis courts, museums, gift shops and area hunting lodges. Murdo is the last town, heading west, before setting your watch back one hour as you enter the Mountain Time Zone.

Pioneer Auto Show and Prairie Town
Established in 1954, Pioneer Auto Show continues to be an attraction of over 250 antique, classic and muscle cars.  Special motorcycle room features Elvis Presley's personal cycle and the Dukes'  "General Lee."  Collections of tractors, toys, guns. music machines, Americana and Zeitner mineral display. Summer hours 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

South Dakota's Original 1880 Town
Tour an authentic 1880 era historic town from buildings to their contents.  The displays and buildings range from Indian relics from the 1870s to the 14-sided barn built in 1919.  Experience their life with costume rentals available at the Longhorn Saloon.  Many displays including movie props from "Dances of Wolves".  Located off I-90 at Exit 170.
