A fun show is easy to find in the Black Hills. The area offers an amazing diversity of performing arts programs year-round, with most appropriate for the entire family.
In summer, Broadway-quality stage productions are performed nightly at the Black Hills Playhouse in beautiful Custer State Park.
The hottest country and rock groups are booked for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the many Deadwood street celebrations. Diverse local talent can be found in a variety of venues throughout the hills: festivals, museums and clubs.
There are active and established symphony, Black Hills Symphony , chamber music and dance theatre groups that perform concert schedules during the fall and winter months. This time of year also brings quality community theater performances as well as national touring companies to many local towns and colleges including Black Hills State University in Spearfish.
Throughout the year, the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City offers an amazing selection of outstanding local and imported talent in their large facility.
Dahl Arts Center and The Journey Museum house many great shows and preformances through the year. The Allied Arts Fund supports many local arts centers and museums in providing for shows and preformances.
