Woodcarving

Explore an Amazing World of Woodcarving Wonder and Magic

Thousands of life-like woodcarvings all brought to life by one of Disneyland's original animators. Dr. Niblack spent over 70,000 hours creating a world of woodcarving wonder and magic. Large and small, they come to life for your enjoyment

His talent was so highly regarded that three of his amazing scenes were showcased at the Smithsonian Institude prior to finding a permanent home at the National Museum of Woodcarving.

Transformation Right Before Your Eyes

Inside our carving studio today's magic continues to happen. During most of the season, Kieth Morrill, NMW's resident woodcarver, or guest woodcarvers from all corners of the U.S., bring their individual talents to The National Museum of Woodcarving. Watch professional woodcarvers chisel and shape an ordinary block of wood into a work of art right before your eyes. You may choose to learn the art of woodcarving yourself by scheduling a few hours, or days, with a professional in the carving studio.

All woodcarving classes begin at 8:30 AM each day and end about 4:30 PM with a lunch break. You are encouraged to bring any, and all, woodcarving tools you may have. Send your questions, registration, and deposit of $85.00 for Kirt and Marlen's classes, and $50.00 for Keith's class to:
