National Museum of Woodcarving
National Museum of Woodcarving

Celebrating Over 40 Years!

Step into the intricate and entertaining world of woodcarving. The National Museum of Woodcarving, located just west of Custer, is Where Wood Comes Alive! The entire family can spend an hour or more enjoying the life work of an original animator of Disneyland, each woodcarving so real, you’ll think it’s magic; and a studio with resident and guest woodcarvers from all over the US.

After touring the museum, visit our gallery and gift shop with unique woodcarvings and gifts you won’t find anywhere else in the Black Hills. This one-of-a-kind attraction will exceed your expectations.

Open daily from May through October, the National Museum of Woodcarving, Hwy 16 West of Custer. Enjoy...
