High Country Grille & Pub
Enjoy outdoor dining or take-out at the High Country Grille & Pub. Choose from a variety of wood-fire pizzas, garlic cheese bread, calzones & nachos, or try an Indian Taco. The grille menu also includes burgers, brats, hot dogs & snacks, along with wine, domestic beer, and Coca-Cola products. Tentative summer schedule: June thru August; 5 pm to 8 pm; Mon-Sat. Circle B Chuckwagon
The popular Circle B Chuckwagon & Cowboy Music Show entertains guests in Dakota Hall, serving up tasty cowboy dinners and western harmonies six nights a week (Mon-Sat) Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. Bring the young’uns and take a step back in time with western activities or browse the Circle B Gift Shop until it’s time for the must-see shootout with Sheriff Dale and the Biscuit Bandit!

Leave the coolers at home—shop online and have your cabin stocked with all the essentials upon your arrival. Select from our expanded product list online and submit your order via email…and leave the shopping to us!
Convenience Store & Gift Shop
The onsite convenience store holds a wide variety of grocery items, basic necessities and South Dakota products right in Dakota Hall, along with those last minute must-haves like ice and firewood. Ice-cold beer, South Dakota wine, and Coca-Cola products are also available. The store has a small gift section with jewelry, hats, T-shirts, Black Hills rock collections, buffalo skulls, and more. The shop carries items from nationally-known artist David Behrens, with a selection of his historical Native American prints, coffee mugs, and T-shirts. Books, western prints and photos cards from High Country’s own author/photographer Barbara Marshak are also available.
Choose between spacious log vacation homes, one-room cabins, or camping cabins for your stay at High Country.
The vacation homes have fully stocked kitchens with dining/living areas and range from 1 bedroom+loft up to 7 bedrooms. Some homes have Jacuzzis, hot tubs, pool table or fireplace. All homes have DirecTV, AC, heat, fire pits, grills & picnic tables.
Cowboy Cabins sleep 4 and are individual log cabins with 2 queen beds, bathroom, small dinette, DirecTV, dorm fridge, microwave, coffee pot. Each Cowboy Cabin has a front deck with a table & 4 chairs, hibachi grill, AC & heat. The 4 Cowboy Cabins share an outdoor hot tub and large fire pit.
Native American Camping Cabins sleep 6 and are roomy one-room cabins with 2 queen camping bunks, 2 twin bunks, table & chairs, kitchenette with counter & sink, dorm fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, TV for movies, bathroom, AC & heat. Outdoors each camping cabin has a hibachi grill and picnic table. These 6 cabins are true “camping cabins” and do not come with bedding & towels unless requested for an additional fee.

Take a trail ride in the beautiful Black Hills National Forest with our wranglers—a must-do for your Black Hills vacation. Choose from morning & afternoon ride times 6 days a week, Mon-Sat. Riders must be at least 6 years old. Trail rides are operated with a special-use permit from the Black Hills National Forest.
Explore the Black Hills on ATV! With over 3,000 miles of marked trails in the Black Hills National Forest, back country sights include mountaintop panoramas, rippling creeks, wildlife, forests, meadows and more. Ride for an hour or the whole day on our side-by-side CanAm ATVs. GPS programming will guide you on your adventure, including directions back to the ranch. Your off-road experience will be the highlight of your Black Hills vacation!

The ranch is located in the Heart of the Hills, only 14 miles from Mount Rushmore and 12 miles from Crazy Horse. We are 4 miles west of Hill City on Deerfield Road and border the popular Mickelson Trail. We are within close proximity to all the major attractions including the 1880 Train, Custer State Park, Harney Peak, Sylvan Lake, local wineries, shopping, restaurants and more!
Brulé brings world-class entertainment to the Black Hills in what’s been called a “Native American experience in sight, sound and soul.” Traditional American Indian dancers in colorful regalia present a stunning visual of the culture, along with the unique music & message of Brulé. Summer performances are outdoors at the beautiful High Country Theater with onsite dining at the High Country Grille & Pub. Gates & Grille open at 6 PM - Walk-ups welcome!
