It was the tenth month in a row that the region has seen increases in overall recreational park visitors and taxable sales. The BH Hotel Occupancy rate was up 7.7% for the month, which also makes it 9 out of 10 reported months that the hotel occupancy rate has been up over 2014 data. The occupancy rate is currently up 4.2% for the calendar year.

One indicator that was down for the month was the Total Deadwood Gaming Handle, which came in under October 2014 by 3.4%. This marks the third out of 10 reported months that the total handle was down – but a strong spring and late summer still has the year up 3.2%.
