    We're pleased to report that our 2017 peak season marketing plans, in conjunction with the SD Department of Tourism, have recently been finalized—with a total of $320,000 has been dedicated to our out-of-region efforts.

We're pleased to report that our 2017 peak season marketing plans, in conjunction with the SD Department of Tourism, have recently been finalized—with a total of $320,000 has been dedicated to our out-of-region efforts. Through this valuable co-op, we expect to generate nearly 15.5 million impressions in 2017 through a variety of marketing channels.

This span of advertising buys will range from 30-second TV spots to a wide list of sponsored social media posts within Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram; from engaging direct mailers to display ad buys in large circulating magazines; and a multifaceted digital effort made up of pre-roll ads, native content and videos, and display retargeting.

Ahead of the peak season, we’re excited to once again be partnering with Midwest Living on another Dream Vacation Giveaway—which launched in January. We're also placing print advertisements in AAA's Tourbook.

All in all, much of these efforts will drive traffic to blackhillsbadlands.com for more information—where the connections can start being made between BH&B member businesses and potential visitors.

Following two years of milestone events and unprecedented national media attention, we’re excited to see our marketing dollars help inspire even more people to visit the Black Hills and Badlands for themselves.
